जहाँ नारी की पूजा होती है, वहां देवता निवास करते हैं। प्रसिद्ध स्मृति का कहना है- ‘मत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवता। इसे ‘अबला कहना गर्भ में पलते कन्या भ्रूण की हत्या कर देवा चौका-पानी तक ही इसकी क्षमता को सीमित करके आंकना, इसका अपमान नहीं तो और क्या है। आज भी इसे ‘भोग की वस्तु’ समझकर प्रत्येक बसेका व्यक्ति अपने तरीके’ से इसका इस्तेमाल’ कर रहा है। बढ़ते काही कारण है।
नारी का सबसे पवित्र रूप ‘माँ’ है माता यानी जननी मां को ईश्वर से भी माना गया है, क्योंकि ईश्वर की जन्मदात्री भी नारी ही रही है। मां देव श्रीकृष्ण को तथा मां पार्वती गणपति और कार्तिकेय की माता थीं। राम से पहले सोता, कृष्ण से पहले राधा, विष्णु से पहले लक्ष्मी लिखना या बोलना स्त्री को गरिमा को ही तो बताता है।
किंतु बदलते समय ने मां के महत्व को भी मानो खो दिया है। यह चिंताजनक बात है। सब धन-लिप्सा व अपने स्वार्थ में डूबते जा रहे हैं। मेरी पत्नी और मेरे बच्चे यही आजकल परिवार की परिभाषा रह गई है। टूटते परिवारों के पीछे भी नारी का सम्मानित न होना ही कारण है। शिव के एक रूप में आधी स्त्री है। इसे ‘अर्धनारीश्वर’ शिव कहते हैं। नवरात्रि में शक्ति की पूज की जाती है, कन्याओं का पूजन होता है। शक्तिपीठों पर भक्तों की भीड़ देखने को मिलती है। अपने परिश्रम और बौद्धिक क्षमता से आधुनिक नारी आज जिस सम्मान को अर्जित कर रही है, उसका औसत अभी भी उतना नहीं है, जितना होना चाहिए। ऐसा लगता है कि ऐसा करना पुरुष प्रधान समाज की विवशता है.
नहीं तो इन पर अमानवीय घटनाओं में कमी आती। नारी को पूजने से कल्याण नहीं होगा, इनके सम्मान में ही मानवता का और कल्याण छिपा हुआ है।

Sleeping before Rama, Radha before Krishna, Lakshmi before Vishnu, writing or speaking only tells the dignity of a woman.
But the changing times have lost the importance of mother as well. This is worrying. Everyone is drowning in the greed of money and their selfishness. My wife and my children have become the definition of the family these days. Women are not respected even behind broken families. One form of Shiva is half female. It is called ‘Ardhanarishvara’ Shiva. Shakti is worshiped in Navratri, girls are worshipped. There is a crowd of devotees at the Shaktipeeths. The respect that the modern woman is earning today with her hard work and intellectual ability is still not as high as it should be. It seems that doing so is a compulsion of a male-dominated society.
Otherwise, there would have been a reduction in inhuman incidents on them. Worshiping women will not bring welfare, in her honor lies hidden the welfare of humanity.
